Spring Cleaning

"Research shows that nearly everyone hoards underware and socks. In fact, people rarely clean out their drawers and only actually wear about 70 percent of the items they own"

I believe that, but ironically, I have the least amount of underwear and socks… TMI.  Seriously,  my problem is T-shirts.  How can that be?  I own  a T-shirt quilt company.  It's hard for me to grasp why but the math is: 1 husband with a T-shirt problem, 3 kids with T-shirt problems and me- T-shirt problem Queen.  You add it up.  If your answer was too much clutter and or laundry, your right.  So the "spring cleaning" theory is: give it away or throw it away right?  No Way!  Not your T-shirts.  I say we all Go Green this spring and recycle your T's.  Give Mom a cool T-shirt scarf for Mothers Day or really clean house and have that drawer full of T-shirts made into a cool quilt/blanket.  Your gonna need something to cozy up under after all that cleaning wears you out.  Don't work to hard though.......

T-Shirt Quilt Biz...What's in a Name?

This was our first t-shirt quilt flier almost 4 years ago.  Hard to believe that's not even where we started. But that's a whole other post. This is my daughter wrapped up in one of the first quilts we ever made. It was for a good friend in Florida who wanted a t-shirt quilt made from all her running and race tees.  She was so brave to be our first customer.  Thanks Hiedi!  Since this pic was taken a lot has changed.

We changed our name, no one seemed to get it- Do Over T's...get it?  Exactly, so we changed our name to T-shirt Quilt Cafe.  No we don't sell coffee, although some of our customers must drink it, I've seen more than one coffee stain on t-shirts. Maybe that subliminally influenced our name choice?? We added more choices for the t-shirt quilts final look.  Now customers can order their T-shirt memory quilts exactly the way you want, hince the name- T-Shirt Quilt CAFE, get it now? It's so fun to look back and see what our biz has evolved into. I can't wait to see and share(with my new blog) what happens next.
